Jennifer Martinez,  a charismatic and outdoor loving sim, got a new job in the medical field and was anxious to get started with her career. This would be a big deal for the hard working sim and her husband Pablo. She threw a party to celebrate her new job and actually met her boss as she stopped by. Most of the guests were probably unaware that Morgana Wolff was the sim Jennifer would be working for but it probably was a good idea if she didn't want jennifer's friends constantley staring at her.  She seemed like the serious type as well as dedicated. Jennifer felt very confident about this career move and was looking forward to working with her. When work finally began, Morgana supervised and told Jennifer what to expect in this line of work. All she really needed was time to get into the swing of things and try not to worry so much about Pablo's housekeeping while she was away. In her line of work, she would be helping Sims in need as well as learining new things and befriending the patients and sims that walk in and out of the hospital.

One day Pablo walked Jennifer over to the 'Lofty Cerulean Blue Pool' to meet up with Morgana to discuss work. Morgana's husband, Thornton was supposed to be there as well but didn't make it. Being a busy sim in the field of business, it was understandable to Jennifer and Pablo. The ladies were left to discuss their work as Pablo headed back home. Things were going just fine until they heard commotion over at the neighboring pool. Before they could see what was going on, the grim reaper appeared. The incident was so unexpected, the Sims at the pool were left in shock and confusion. Some only caught a glimpse of the Sim's ghost and weren't quite sure who it was but emotions ran pretty high with those who knew this soul who left with the reaper. Shaken, Jennifer and Morgana left the pool and went to their separate households. Thornton finally came over to the pool after hearing about all the commotion and took Morgana home. Jennifer came home to a dinner Pablo made for her before he turned in for the night. This gave Jennifer a bit of comfort in seeing that her husband was making an effort to take care of things around the house and not letting his love of the outdoors tempt him into exercising and fishing all day. Jennifer, trying hard not to get discouraged, worked up an appetite and watched some TV. She wanted to keep her mind off of what happened at the pool so she ignored a phone call from Morgana and snuggled next to Pablo in their bed. The next few weeks of work started to feel a little harder for Jennifer. She knew it was never meant to be a walk in the park but Jennifer felt the strain and the struggle to stay optimistic. Morgana seemed satisfied so she hadn't been saying much to Jennifer, though Jenn couldn't help but notice a change in Morgana's attitude.... Morgana began to turn her attention over to a new employee, Tae-Gra Shane.. Jennifer saw the young sim becoming more and more frustrated with Morgana. Tae-Gra seemed like a good worker who wanted to do everything right just as much as her superiors but it didn't look like she and Morgana were going to be buddies any time soon.  As Jennifer was headed home, she saw the two arguing in front of the hospital.

It started when Tae-Gra was caught outside by Morgana and was accused of slacking off. Tae-Gra was actually starving and wanted to get something to eat before work got really busy. Jennifer, in an attempt to keep major sparks from flying, intervened and talked Tae-Gra down. The effort was successful but Morgana was very short and cold toward them both and stormed off. It was the first time in a while Morgana spoke to Jennifer directly. Jennifer started to think maybe it was because of not answering the phone that night of the pool incident. Determined not to let any negative interference distract her, she shrugged it off and continued talking to Tae-Gra. She still seemed a little heated from what had just happened. I'm sure any sim would feel the same way if they worked so hard just to get accused of slacking off by their boss, based on one situation. The two ladies continued talking and soon became friends. After seeing Morgana's attitude this would be a good way to take the edge off of work. Motivated by Jennifer and the fact that she was doing this for her son, Tae-Gra pressed forward. She didn't think she would ever find a friend another good friend after what happened with her ex friend in her old town. She was sad abiut it at first but glad she found out her old friend wasn't so true after all. It seemed like she gained a real friend in exchange for a fake one. I'd say that's a rather good deal, wouldn't you? As time passed, Morgana was still the same and Tae and Jennifer were best friends. Sometimes Jennifer felt guilty for having too much fun at work. There's nothing wrong with fun as long as work is getting done but Jennifer was determined to stay focused and set a good example for sims including Tae-Gra. One day after work, they decided to head over to the beach to unwind. The sunset was beautiful and many sims enjoyed spending time there. They were invited over for drinks by a sim sitting alone watching the sunset. She seemed very kind and didn't mind the company of the two ladies. Her name was Kara Dione. She worked at the Bookstore as a part-time cashier but had considered persuing a more exciting career. Perhaps she could excell in the medical field and get rid of Morgana someday (Kidding). Kara was a friendly and levelheaded sim. All her life, she had heard comments about her looks as well as her personality and any sim who spoke negatively were probably jealous.

The ladies heard about a party Raylene Larosa was throwing soon and figured they would have fun there. She was known for throwing the best parties and bringing sims together. It was definitely something the neighborhood needed after the incident at the pool. Tae was looking forward to it. She wanted to surprise her son, O'Raj when he came home from school. Tae felt good about the new life they started in Sunset Valley. Unfortunately, Jennifer couldn't make it due to her work schedule but she was able to squeeze in a dinner date with the ladies a few days prior.
At the party, Tae saw that O'Raj was having a good time, though he was quiet and wanted to be in a different room from his mother and Kara. Tae knew what was going on.. O'Raj obviously had a crush on Kara. During the party, Kara told Tae about her new Career and about her boss.

Now Remember when I said it was a 'small world'? Well, Kara's boss happened to be Morgana's husband, Thornton Wolff. Tae learned from Kara that the Wolff's had a rocky marrage. They didn't have kids but based on what Kara told Tae, that was probably a good thing. A failing marriage is one thing but having a sim child caught in the middle of it is another.
The next day Tae told Jennifer about their friend's new boss. Jennifer couldn't help but think this could've been another reason behind Morgana's attitude. She considered talking to Morgana about it but didn't want to pry or do anything to anger her. Sometimes gossip has a way of causing more damage than good. As cold as she was, Morgana got results and was a perfectionist when it came to her work. It's a wonder how Thornton dealt with it.
After a fairly decent day at work, Tae went home to spend time with her favorite guy in the whole world until it was inturupted by a visit from the repo man and a flaming oven (Entry 6 O'Raj's Journal).  Tae tried to keep her cool amidst the bad luck that night but couldn't hide it from her son. She was clearly upset. Not wanting to bother Jennifer, she called up Kara and she insisted they come over for a while after she got off work. Once they arrived, an uninvited sim made his way over as well...Thornton. Both Kara and Tae seemed to be caught off guard and aggrivated. Kara invited her boss in and the four sims sat down in the living room. Kara and Tae had looks on their faces that said 'What's he doing here!?' as Thornton had an arrogant smile that turned into a look of disgust when looking over at Tae's son.  Tae didn't like talking to him She felt she'd rather be talking to the cute guy from the park. It seemed like he was trying to make his move on both of them (even if meeting Tae for the first time smh..).  O'Raj clearly felt the same way as Thornton did toward him. The two boys seemed like they were competing with each other.

It was a very awkward night. Kara insisted that Tae and O'Raj come back to visit her again very soon as it was getting pretty late and Thornton intruded on their time. She'd love for them to sleep over but it was a school night and O'Raj was already knocked out on Kara's sofa. Jennifer would probably flip if she heard the night her friends had but she hadn't been seen lately.
Even the most confident and charismatic sims can have their bad days. Jennifer was at home on the computer when she found out she got demoted. How could this have happened?? She was shocked, upset and very eager to confront Morgana. She certainly had some explaining to do. This was a major set back for Jennifer and she didn't tell the ladies about it. She really didn't want to. All she wanted were answers but there wasn't a lot she could do about it until she went back to work. Things were going so well for her. She hadn't lost sleep like this since the day she got hired. When she arrived for work, she didn't have to wait long at all because Morgana had just walked out of the building and they were face to face. They practically read each other's minds before even saying anything. Jennifer thought for a brief second to hold her composure but it was no use. Looking at Morgana reminded her of how cold she had been and demanded a reason for her demotion.

Morgana told her that she hadn't been working as hard as she was back when she started. She mentioned to Jennifer how sick she was of seeing her scrubs left on the floor and how she treated Tae like a buddy rather than someone she was supervising (FYI: Morgana is Jennifer's boss and Jennifer was Tae's boss). Jennifer continued to stand her ground even though she knew Morgana had a few points. Morgana continued talking to her which seemed to calm Jennifer down but just a little. She wasn't quite sure whether bringing up 'music' was a metaphor or to change the subject, but Jennifer was tired of listening. She still had to get through this long day of work :/. Jennifer knew what she had to do and staying focused was the key (Insert 80s Montage here). There were days of hard work and reading her medical journal. She rarely saw Tae or Kara for the next few days. Tae was doing much better with her work and didn't really need Jennifer checking up on her. Tae made sure to remember the book she was asked to read for work and jokingly told Jennifer that she owed her. She didn't want to put any pressure on Jennifer but she was a little worried about being forgotten. Thoughts of that so called friend from the past started to resurface in Tae's head..

At work there was dead silence between Jennifer and Morgana with the exception of talking with patients. Every night she came home to plan and study while eating Pablo's improved cooking. There were a few sims standing around the hospital mingling. Suddenly the door swung open and Jennifer walked out proud as ever! She got promoted and everyone outside started cheering and clapping. Jennifer and Morgana's eyes met and without smiling or saying anything they nodded.

After regaining her title, Jennifer explained to Tae what she'd been up to and why Tae hadn't heard from her in so long. Tae was understanding and relieved but did not want Jennifer to get too caught up in her work. One cold grunt of a boss was enough and Jennifer's positive attitude kept co workers from going completely nuts with Emperor....Dr. Wolff barking orders. Tae told Jennifer things were going alright minus the Repo visit, the fire and Thornton's pickup lines. Jennifer really wanted the three of them to spend more time together. Tae had an idea. Since she and O'Raj were planning on visiting Kara again, they could have a party of their own. They'd only invite their friends and wouldn't go all out like Raylene would. Kara agreed and the extravaganza began... (Knock, knock). Kara answered the door. She'd never seen this sim before but had a good idea of who this was. Jennifer just happened to look over at the window where the two ladies stood outside and she saw that it was Morgana. Jennifer also saw that familiar stance as they both took one step back and tilted their heads...It was about to get ugly. Kara knew she came over because of Thornton and before Morgana could speak, Kara blew up in her face, seemingly aware of what Morgana had to say. Morgana quickly retaliated with choice words of her own accusing Kara of being on the phone not too long ago with her husband planning to whoohoo. Jennifer marched up to the door entrance, confronting the uninvited guest. This was not the work place, this was a home and Jennifer felt Morgana had crossed the line. Jennifer did not stand for it. She couldn't believe this was the same sim who showed her the ropes and tested her motivation to bounce back and stay on top. Jennifer's positive energy from the party was replaced by anger and pride. Tae didn't not interfere as she could see Jennifer didn't need her help at all. In a good mood, Tae and her little man stayed inside and continued watching tv.

The confrontation ended with Morgana leaving, defeated. What a party...It was suggested that Jennifer go all the way with her career... study hard, work harder and get promoted over Morgana. Jennifer would be the boss and she'd be able to do things her way, make it a positive work place for everyone, and get rid of the 'negativity' for good! There was really no turning back. She couldn't go back to being Morgana's boss, let alone work in the same building after the altercation over at Kara's.  Jennifer's mind was made up. Kara, Tae and friends were all behind her. She was going to go for Morgana's position and 'dethrone' her. As she thought of this bold move, Jennifer had to give her credit. If it wasn't for Morgana she probably wouldn't have reached this level of boldness and drive to....dominate. We can only hope she doesn't lose her way along the journey. Before Jennifer got busy with the 'overthrowing,' she felt she needed to make up for the party. Though she realized the confrontation was the entertainment for the evening,  She took Tae and Kara to Bridgeport for some well-deserved drinks, fun and karaoke.

Needless to say (since there's no room in this story for another montage lol), Jennifer took the fight to Morgana and became the boss. Morgana resigned...

Thanks for reading :)
